3D printing for component prototyping

Nuova Saimpa produces 3D printed prototypes to assess components during development. Where appropriate, this supports examination of a part before industrialization and assessment of the need for pilot molds. Prototyping can be included in the development of appliance and industrial components.

Assessing components during development

The department has three 3D printers with a stated resolution of 28 microns.

The role of prototyping is assessed with the customer according to project requirements. Share the available drawings or specifications, intended application and the purpose of the assessment.

The team will review the characteristics of the component to be produced.

From prototype assessment to production

Prototype production and industrialization are separate stages assessed according to project specifications.
