NUOVA SAIMPA 4.0
In 2020, the company launched the “Smart Factory” project to optimize the production system in response to its rapid growth. This project involved revising the layout, redistributing spaces, and implementing advanced technologies, including automated conveyors and automated warehouses, with the goal of improving efficiency and adopting a “just-in-time” approach. The new system was integrated with the company’s information management system and meets the requirements of Industry 4.0.
The warehouses are interconnected with an information management system, facilitating the management of small parts and equipment for the silkscreen-pad printing and finishing departments, as well as the management of molds used in the molding departments.
We have five Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and conveyor belts that distribute materials to the silkscreen-pad printing and assembly departments. In the future, the AGV fleet will be expanded with the implementation of buffer warehouses.
The robotized islands automate various operations, thanks to a system that is particularly efficient in handling products at the end of the molding process, adapting to different production needs.
